We want the information, ideas, resources, and discussions from Mobile Learning Experience 2011 to be available publicly online. To help share the experience, we’re encouraging participants to blog about sessions they attend. In fact, those who submit blog posts are entered to win an iPad 2 with a Smart Cover!
We’ve set up the Mobile Learning Experience 2011 Blog to receive emailed submissions. It’s a site created with Posterous, a blogging platform that accepts posts via email. Posts don’t have to be just text. Attach images, audio, video, or documents to the email message and Posterous will post it in a web-friendly format.
Mobile Learning Experience 2011 participants can send an email to mobile2011blog@posterous.com. The subject of the email becomes the blog post’s title, so please include descriptive subjects. You need to include your name in the body of the post along with what you want to say. Add any photos or files and send it off. After the post passes through moderation, it will be published for the world to see. The best of the Mobile Learning Experience 2011 Blog will be posted to the News section of mobile2011.org.
Each submission will count as one entry into the prize drawing. Submissions that also include hyperlinks, images, audio, and/or video count as two entries into the prize drawing. Submissions less than 300 words (unless it is an audio or video submission) and low quality submissions will not qualify for a prize entry.
You can make a submission for as many sessions as you like, including keynote, panel, and sharing sessions. More than one person can submit an entry for a single session. In fact, we encourage presenters to enlist at least one participants in each session to submit a blog post.
The best part is that mobile2011blog.posterous.com will be a great place to experience sessions that you did not attend and to share Mobile Learning Experience 2011 with those who didn’t travel to Phoenix for the event. If you use news reader, you can subscribe using this web feed. Alternatively, you can sign up to receive daily updates through email.
If submitting blog posts:
- Please proofread and edit before submitting.
- Write descriptive subjects. Since the subject is the title, please capitalize accordingly.
- Be mindful of file size when submitting video. Videos longer than a couple minutes are sometimes too large to attach.
- Email each submission just once. It won’t show up on the blog until it is approved, which should be within 2 hours.
- Optionally include your email, Twitter, Facebook, blog, or any other URLs so people may contact you.
- Presenters are encourage to submit and include their handouts and/or slideshows.
- The blog automatically generates a photo gallery when you attach multiple images in your email.
- Remember, include your name in your submission. The email address you send from will not appear anywhere in your post.
